The Associates
The Associates are members of the Vancouver Art Gallery who are devoted to supporting the Gallery through art-related social, educational, service and fundraising initiatives. The Associates create many opportunities to engage other members while raising funds and public awareness for Gallery programs and services.
MEMBERSHIP ELIGIBILITY AND BENEFITS
Any regular member of the Vancouver Art Gallery may join the Associates for a $35 annual Associates fee. Membership benefits include:
- Your personal invitation to special luncheons and tours
- Subscription to the Associates newsletter, Associates in Action
- Opportunities to join video and art history groups
- Unlimited access to Gallery exhibitions, lectures, concert series and artists' talks
- Invitations for two to all Gallery exhibition openings
- Access to Art Rental & Sales
- Opportunities to make new friends while volunteering on a variety of committees and exciting fundraising events
- Participation in enjoyable and inspiring art events with our partner, the University Women's Club, Hycroft
PROJECTS AND ACTIVITIES
Art Rental & Sales
Associates of the Vancouver Art Gallery are a volunteer run non-profit organization who operate the sale and rental of local contemporary art to individuals and businesses, which brings in significant revenue to the Gallery every year.
Tea & Tours
Associate docents conduct personal tours of the Gallery's outstanding exhibitions, on the 3rd Friday of each month. Each tour is followed by refreshments and a delightful opportunity to mix and mingle with great art and friends old and new.
Art History Study Group
Associates research and present illustrated lectures on artists of their choice. These are presented at regular twice-monthly meetings, where members enjoy, learn and share the entertaining and inspiring world of contemporary and historical art.
Video Group
Members watch and discuss art videos at regular twice-monthly meetings. Fee: $20 per year
