Artist Statement

Characterized by seemingly wild brush strokes and strident colours, Andrea Padovani’s artwork reflects the painterly qualities of the Fauvists and Impressionists of the Belle Epoque. Best known for his provocative interiors and architecture, Padovani’s paintings have a high degree of simplification and abstraction and depict the intimacy of private settings. Padovani’s work is in collections around the world including Monte Paschi Banque Paris, GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals, and the Waldorf Astoria Hotel, New York City.
